Our mission
Our mission is to make Nigerian news easier to discover without replacing the publishers who report it. NOWNEWS indexes headlines and permitted metadata from participating and publicly discoverable sources, groups related coverage, highlights developing stories and sends readers to the original publisher for the full report.
How NOWNEWS works
Our technology monitors configured RSS feeds, approved APIs, sitemaps and other permitted discovery methods. Stories are classified by topic and location, checked for duplicates and grouped when several publishers are covering the same event.
Publishers remain the source
NOWNEWS is designed as a discovery and referral platform. Publisher names are clearly attributed, and original-story links point readers back to the source publication. Publishers can claim their profile through the Publisher Hub, manage their logo, view referral analytics and use NOWNEWS connection widgets.
Editorial and commercial transparency
Sponsored or paid placements are visibly labelled. Commercial relationships do not change the attribution of publisher reporting. Breaking, trending and coverage indicators are generated from NOWNEWS editorial controls and platform signals such as recency, story velocity and multi-source coverage.
